Research interests:
My work pre-retirement focused on developing, evaluating, and writing about interventions to foster satisfying couple/co-parenting relationships - to promote more effective parenting and the optimal development of parents and children, and to train graduate students in clinical psychology to do the same. After retirement, Phil Cowan and I worked with the State of California Office of Child Abuse Prevention to promote satisfying relationships in low-income, low resourced families, and with the British Government to do the same in many UK locales. I would be interested in collaborating with others to bring these kinds of supports to UCB families with young children in Albany Village.
