Job title:

Research interests:

My interest is mainly in the dynamics of large-scale public organizations, esp. those engaged in the operation of demanding technical operations in times of stressful change. Recent projects include convening a discussion series on the analytical challenges of continuing and recovering agency service capacity. In addition, I'm interested in the relationships between climate change effects on the western section of the Pacific Rim (incl. central America, California northward to Alaska - one rather distinct ecological configuration) as changes ecological and social, migrate northward and pose serious challenges to regional, state and provincial governance. The objective is to anticipate changes likely to induce serious social discontinuities.
